The surrounding cities are home to such business tenants as People Soft, AT&T and Hewlett-Packard.  The well-known Lawrence Livermore Lab is located in Livermore and is a large weapons and nuclear research facility operated by the University of California, Berkeley. 

All of the towns in the area surrounding area boast high schools scores and low crime rates making the area a desirable location for families.  Many of the local residents are college educated. 

The Dublin area is attractive throughout the year with green hills during the spring and winter months transforming to a rich gold in the summer and fall.  These hills are the home of numerous wineries that have thrived and became world famous over the past century.

Over the past 25 years, the region has grown into a "high-tech haven."  The overflow of business in nearby San Francisco and Silicon Valley has taken advantage of the vast amounts of land available for development along with the presence of an educated work force.
While Pleasanton and Livermore were the first to be developed in the area, San Ramon and Dublin are following closely.  Dublin has plans approved plans to build about 12,000 homes and apartments on the eastern side, along with various shops, schools and office buildings.  The beginning of the millennium was spent with Dublin bustling with construction for the expansion.

Home prices in the Silicon Valley have increased steadily, making them virtually unavailable to the majority.  While the prices continue to rise in Dublin, many are still relatively attainable. Less expensive homes are available in the surrounding areas of Brentwood, Tracy, Manteca and the Central Valley for individuals willing to commute to the area.  While the commute can be grueling at certain time of the morning and evening, this remains a plausible option for residents with the skills and education to staff the need for high-tech labor in the Amador Valley.

Dublin has an expected growth of approximately 69,000 by 2020.  The increase in population is expected be met with continued city expansion and business opportunity.  This family town is close to many bustling areas for weekend entertainment yet maintains a cozy feel.  While growth and construction is a significant part of life in Dublin today, the location, activities, business opportunity and educational success makes this city the perfect location for many families who desire the good life.
Dublin is located at the junction of Interstates 680 and 580 in an area known as the Amador Valley.  Dublin is bordered by Pleasanton to the south and Livermore to the east with Contra Costa County just to the north.  This region is known to residents as the I-680 corridor with many Home Owners Associations, Condominum, Town Home in the Neighborhoods of Dublin California.
